MacGregor West is a neighborhood comprised of 125 single family homes, conveniently located within the Spring Branch area of west Houston, Texas. Established in the 1960s, the area is defined by well-built homes, large lots and mature trees. The neighborhood is situated north of Hammerly, east of Beltway 8, south of Kempwood and west of Gessner. Terrace Elementary is in the heart of the neighborhood and is bordered on the south by Buttermilk Creek.
Spring Branch is where the suburbs meet the city. Our district is conveniently located near Interstate 10, the 610 Loop, Beltway 8 and Highway 290, providing easy access to Downtown and Uptown Houston, the Energy Corridor, the Memorial City District (including Memorial City Mall and Memorial City Medical Center), the Texas Medical Center and Westchase. The award-winning Spring Branch Independent School District serves 35,000 students and continues to grow. Residential and commercial development projects continuously revitalize the historic area, making Spring Branch an attractive area to both live and work.
MacGregor West Civic Association is a homeowners association that provides services funded by dues, enforces deed restrictions, and promotes the betterment of the neighborhood. Our elected volunteer Board Members carefully study, discuss, and take appropriate action on issues brought to our attention involving our community and within our power to keep our neighborhood great. This website was established to be a source of information for our community.
